Diego Santolaya was born in Granada and has been passionate about the sea and sailing since he was very young, which led him to study Naval Engineering. During his studies, he discovered a keen interest in mechanics and engines, a field he has specialized in throughout his professional career.

He has participated in both offshore regattas and long-term cruises, which has allowed him to develop a deep understanding of the sea and its surroundings.

Last season, he moved to Ibiza, where he began his career in the world of nautical chartering, working as a jet ski instructor.

Diego currently works as a captain, combining his technical training, his experience in the sector, and his love of the sea to ensure a memorable experience on every voyage.

Diego Santolaya nació en Granada, es un apasionado del mar y de la navegación a vela desde muy joven, lo que lo llevó a estudiar Ingeniería Naval. Durante sus estudios descubrió un gran interés por la mecánica y los motores, campo en el que se ha especializado a lo largo de su carrera profesional.

Ha participado tanto en regatas de altura como en cruceros de largas temporadas, lo que le ha permitido desarrollar un profundo conocimiento del mar y sus entornos.

La temporada pasada se trasladó a Ibiza, donde comenzó su trayectoria en el mundo del chárter náutico trabajando como monitor de moto de agua.

Actualmente, Diego ejerce como capitán, combinando su formación técnica, su experiencia en el sector y su amor por el mar para garantizar en cada navegación una experiencia memorable.

My name is Nerea, and I was born in Ibiza—a place I feel deeply connected to. I have a true passion for sailing around the island and exploring its coastline from the sea.

I began my career in the yachting industry in 2020, working in yacht cleaning. In 2021, I obtained my Basic Safety Training certification, which allowed me to start working as a deckhand. My first position was aboard a Sunseeker Manhattan 72, where I worked as an interior crew member.

In 2022, I joined the crew of a Pershing 80, taking on both interior and exterior responsibilities. From 2023 to 2024, I worked aboard a Pershing 90, further developing my skills and experience.

This season, I am working on a Vanquish, where our main goal is to provide top-quality service to our clients, taking care of every detail to ensure they enjoy an unforgettable experience on board.
