The 5 corners of Ibiza that most tourists never get to discover

The 5 corners of Ibiza that most tourists never get to discover

Ibiza is known all over the world for its beaches, its atmosphere and its spectacular sunsets. However, there is a side of the island that few visitors get to know. Hidden places, practically untouched landscapes and corners that, in many cases, can only be accessed by sea.

If you want to discover the most authentic Ibiza, these five places deserve to be on your next route.

1. Atlantis (Sa Pedrera)

Although it is becoming more and more known, Atlantis is still one of the most surprising places in Ibiza. Its natural pools and curious rock formations create a landscape that seems to be taken from another planet.

Walking there requires a demanding route, so contemplating it from the boat or accessing it in a small boat is one of the best ways to enjoy this unique corner.

2. Ses Balandres

On the north coast of the island, away from the busiest areas, is Ses Balandres, a spectacular cliff surrounded by nature.

Its access by land is complicated and not recommended for many visitors, so the sea offers a privileged perspective of one of the most impressive landscapes in Ibiza.

It is a perfect place to anchor for a few minutes and enjoy absolute tranquility.

3. Llentrisca Cove

Hidden between pine forests and cliffs, Cala Llentrisca is one of those small coves that retain the charm of the Ibiza of decades ago.

Without great services or beach clubs, it is a place where time seems to stand still. Its calm and transparent waters make it an ideal stop for swimming or snorkeling.

4. Es Portitxol

es portitxol

Few people make it to this former fishermen's refuge located in the north of the island.

Its small circular bay, surrounded by mountains and traditional boathouses, conveys a sense of isolation that is difficult to find elsewhere in Ibiza.

From the sea, the entrance to this cove is a real postcard.

5. Illa de Tagomago

Off the east coast is this small private island surrounded by crystal clear waters.

Although it is not always possible to disembark, sailing around it allows you to discover one of the least traveled areas of Ibiza, ideal for those looking for privacy, natural landscapes and a practically untouched Mediterranean.

The best way to discover the most unknown Ibiza

Many of these places share something in common: they do not appear on the usual routes and some are much more accessible from the sea than by road.

Sailing allows you to reach hidden coves, anchor where there are hardly any people and contemplate the island from a completely different perspective, discovering a much more authentic, quiet and natural Ibiza.

At Boating Ibiza we believe that the best experiences are not always the best known. That is why we design personalised routes so that you can explore those corners that most visitors never get to discover and experience the island as those who really know it do.
